TEDX
To further showcase and develop the speaking talents of our students, Grange School has actively participated in several TEDx events. In a significant milestone, the school obtained a licence to host its own TEDx event, themed “The Edge of Possible.”
The event provided a dynamic platform for students to share ideas through inspiring speeches, poetry recitals, and spoken-word performances. To enrich the experience and celebrate the diverse talents within the school community, the programme also featured dance performances, musical presentations, and instrumental showcases. The Edge of Possible exemplified Grange School’s commitment to fostering creativity, confidence, and effective communication among its students.
DEBATING
At Grange School, Lagos, debating has become one of our areas of excellence, with our students consistently achieving success at both national and international levels.
In the 2024/2025 academic session, our students achieved:
Regional Champions – AISEN Debating Competitions
National Champions – AISEN Debating Competitions
Building on this success, the team secured the position of First Runner-Up in the AISEN Debating Championship during the 2025/2026 session.
Grange School has also participated actively in the COBIS Virtual Debates, organised by the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and Debate Mate. Our debaters achieved a commendable Semi-Final finish in the March 2024 edition.
Furthermore, five of our students have earned the prestigious Star Speaker Awards across consecutive competitions, reflecting the exceptional quality of speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork nurtured within the school.
