Foundation Stages: Age 4 - 5

The School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, part of the British curriculum guidance. This means that learning is carefully planned based on organised play and child initiated activities that encourage exploration and self expression.
Our aim is to develop confident, happy children who are eager to learn and to share their experiences in a safe and secure environment.

Key Stages 1: Age 5 - 7

At Key Stage 1 core subjects are introduced. The further development of the basic skills of literacy and numeracy are taught through activities and practical involvement leading to the acquisition of the key concepts.

Key Stage 2: Age 7 - 11

At Key Stage 2 core subjects continue as well as new ones introduced, building knowledge and skills. Individual needs are assessed in an effort to exploit each child's full potential academically, physically, emotionally and socially

The evident spirit of friendship that exists in every part of the Primary School creates a unique atmosphere in which our pupils feel happy and thrive. In this nurturing environment, we encourage everyone to establish and develop a lifelong love of learning and to explore their talents. I have high expectations of the teaching staff and they in turn expect the children to do their best; both in and out of the classroom.

The children are offered a rich and diverse curriculum and the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and enjoyment across a wide range of activities. Our children's happiness is paramount and their wellbeing essential and so high levels of pastoral care are evident throughout.

Grange Primary School offers a unique learning environment for its pupils as our provision, whether academic, sporting or in the performing arts is of the very highest standard. Taught by enthusiastic and inspirational teachers, our children benefit from an unrivalled British education in Nigeria which prepares them tremendously well for the challenge of the Secondary School and beyond.

We are unashamedly a family school and there are countless opportunities for you to be involved in your child's education, a link that is so important and valuable in enhancing your child's enthusiasm and enjoyment of school. I cannot commend Grange Primary School to you highly enough and would urge you to come and experience it for yourselves. No two days here are the same and I guarantee that you will be swept along by the energy and friendliness that pervades. Simply contact a member of the Primary office team, who will be happy to make all the necessary arrangements. We look forward to welcoming you.
